ERA SCHOLARSHIP

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is excited to announce two new scholarship opportunities! The competition runs from January 1st, 2022 to September 1st, 2022 giving you plenty of time to see how many donated devices you can collect.

1. $1 Million Dollar scholarship – Collect 1 million laptops and smartphones (suitable for donation) Canada-wide, and win.
2. $100K Dollar scholarship for 100K approved devices

Rules and Guidelines

• The competition is open to students who reside within Canada.
• You may enter the competition on January 1st, 2022, and final results need to be in by September 1st, 2022.
• No purchase is necessary to enter the competition.
• ERA will announce the winners of this scholarship in October 2022 on our social media platforms and website (subject to change).
• ERA will contact the winners of this scholarship. If the winner does not answer within a week they will be disqualified.
• If you win the competition, you will be tagged in all communication related to the scholarship.
• If you enter, ERA will own the rights to all marketing material submitted and can use these marketing materials as they wish. This includes any social media accounts you create for the 2022 ERA scholarship competition. Passwords for these accounts must be turned over to ERA at the end of the competition or you will be disqualified.

Schulich Leader Scholarship

 Schulich Leader Scholarship

The Scholarship Committee is searching for outstanding grade 12 students who plan to enroll in a STEM program in university. 

Do you display the following qualities:

• Academic excellence
• Strong leadership, charisma & creativity
• Entrepreneurial-minded 
• Intend to pursue a career in technology, engineering, entrepreneurship & business enterprise, or applied scientific research
• Strong consideration will be given to students with financial need

You cannot:

• Focus on activism
• Intend to become a physician and/or medical researcher (e.g. Doctor, Dentist, Nurse, Psychologist, Pharmacist, Optometrist, etc.)
• Intend to become a Professor and conduct theoretical research

FUTURES FORWARD TUITION WAIVER

Are you currently or have previously been in the care of Child and Family Services (CFS)?
Are you interested in attending university or college?
Do you want to learn more about post-secondary education and different funding options?

If the answer is yes to all the above questions, they you should definitely attend our upcoming information session.

Futures Forward is excited to announced our virtual Tuition Waiver Information Session for students who are currently or formerly been in the care of Child and Family Service (CFS). Learn about Futures Forward and what we do as an organization, and specific details on how to apply for the Tuition Waiver program. You will be introduced to the Futures Forward Education Team and ask questions live about the Tuition Waiver program or any education questions. This program does not have an age limit to apply so if you’re interested in going back to school and were in care with CFS, please join us and learn more!

 

We will be holding 5 information sessions on November 17th @2PM, December 15th @ 6PM, January 15th @2PM, January 26th @6PM and February 16th @2PM. These info sessions will be one hour long and include previous/current Tuition Waiver recipients, sharing their experience.
