WINTER OPEN HOUSE

School groups, students and families are invited to join us on campus and online to experience a day in the life of a UM student. Attend presentations and tours, browse our information booths, connect with UM representatives, and explore campus.

• Connect with UM representatives in the Information Village, open throughout the event.
• Explore campus on the "Where's Billy?" scavenger hunt for a chance to win great prizes.

 myBlueprint has partnered with Scotiabank to offer 16 scholarship of $3,750 each to support student post-secondary aspirations across Canada.

RED RIVER POLYTECH'S OPEN HOUSE

Red River Polytech is hosting an OPEN HOUSE where you will have the opportunity to explore Manitoba's only polytechnic.

EVENT DETAILS:

Date: Wednesday, February 22, 2023

Time: 9am - 2pm and 5pm - 8pm (CST)

Location: Notre Dame Campus (2055 Notre Dame Ave.) and Exchange District Campus (319 Elgin Ave.)

At Open Doors - RRC Polytech's Open House, you'll have the opportunity to talk with knowledgeable instructors and staff about the programs you're most interested in. 

You can also chat with support staff to ensure you make an informed decision about your future - whether that's getting info on applications or registrations, selection criteria, scholarships and financial aid, or support services.

FUTURES FORWARD TUITION WAIVER INFO SESSION

Futures Forward would like to invite you to attend our in-person Tuition Waiver POST-SECONDARY FAIR on January 18th, 5-8pm, at Canadian Mennonite University Marpeck Commons (2299 Grant Avenue, Winnipeg MB).

As a reminder, a Tuition Waiver can cover up to the full tuition of an undergraduate program, degree, or certificate for a current or former youth in Manitoba CFS care, as well as additional financial supports to help supplement living costs, textbooks, and more.

We invite you to come learn about the Tuition Waiver program, meet recruitment teams from our 10 partner colleges and universities, and get all your questions answered!

The agenda is as follows:

5-5:30pm - Arrival + Browsing Recruitment Booths for Post-Secondary Partners

5:30-7:00pm - Tuition Waiver Presentation + Student Guest Speaker + Draw for Door Prizes!

7:00-8:00pm - Attendees are welcome to stay and visit the recruitment booths!

This is a great opportunity for current/former youth in care*, families, foster parents, CFS workers, social workers, educators, and other supports for youth to learn about this amazing funding opportunity for current and former youth in Manitoba Child and Family Services care. We encourage you to RSVP!

*There is no age cap to apply for a Tuition Waiver! As long as someone has spent time in the care of Manitoba CFS, they should be eligible.
