RBC FUTURE LAUNCH SCHOLARSHIPS for INDIGENOUS YOUTH

 DEADLINE: February 7, 2024

AWARD VALUE: 20 scholarships of up to $10,000 each CRITERIA:         

  • Identify as Indigenous with Status, Indigenous with Non-Status, Inuit or Métis
  • Be a permanent resident or citizen of Canada
  • Entering post-secondary studies at an eligible post-secondary institution in the 2024-2025 academic year
  • Are not an RBC employee or a dependent of an RBC employee

INDSPIRE BUILDING BRIGHTER FUTURES BURSARIES, SCHOLARSHIPS & AWARDS for POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION and SKILLED TRADES

AWARD VALUE: Amounts vary CRITERIA:         

  • There is one application for all of Indspire's bursaries, scholarships and awards, barring a few exceptions. To be eligible for a Building Brighter Futures financial awards applicants must met the following criteria:
    • Be an Indigenous person
    • Be enrolled in an accredited education program; a professional development program; a continuing education program; a traditional knowledge program or arts training
    • Can not be a member of the staff, board or jury at the time of applying for funding support

EnergyRates.ca College Scholarship

AWARD VALUE: $500 CRITERIA:         

  • Applicants must be enrolled in a Canadian or American post-secondary educational institution, or planning to enrol in such an institution within the following calendar year.
HOW TO APPLY:

 DEADLINE: March 15, 2024

AWARD VALUE: $3000 x 75 CRITERIA:         

  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.
  • Have English as Canada's first official language spoken.
  • Have completed and graduated from an English, French immersion, dual-track or non-official language (i.e., neither English or French) institution.
  • Be enrolled in a USB post-secondary program in their second official language of Canada, French, during the 2024-2025 academic year.
  • Be enrolled in a minimum of 24 credits taught at USB in an undergraduate university program of a minimum of two years or 80% of a course load in a college program of a minimum of one year.

  • Write an essay/letter discussing how financial literacy has made a difference in your life; how you have budgeted, saved, invested, paid down debt, applied for scholarships, or had a side hustle

DEADLINE: December 30, 2023 AWARD VALUE: Two awards, each worth $2,000 CRITERIA:         

  • Canadian citizen, of Italian descent and a resident of Manitoba
  • Entering full time post-secondary education
  • Have not previously received a Sons of Italy award
  • Note that preference will be given to those applicants who can demonstrate the following:
    • Participation in the Italian community
    • A genuine interest in their Italian heritage
    • Good academic standing
    • Achievement in their field of training or cultural pursuit
    • Co-curricular activities/achievements and/or community service
    • Financial need
