CANADA POST ABORIGINAL EDUCATION INCENTIVE AWARD

Who can apply?

You're eligible to apply if you:

C) Have already returned to school and completed 1 full year of studies

GOT A SPINE SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarship Value: $500
Award Deadline: May 2, 2022

To be eligible for the Arctic Chiropractic "Got a Spine Scholarship" a student must:

1) Be attending college or university no later than October of 2022.

2) Be attending college or university on a full-time basis by October of 2022.

3) Have achieved a GPA of 2.5 or greater during their last academic year.

4) Be a U.S. or Canadian resident.

5) Be attending a school in the U.S. or Canada by October of 2022.

6) Submit answers to the essay questions no later than 11:59 PM EST on the day of the deadline.

LM SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Scholarship Value:  $500
Award Deadline: May 1, 2022

he LM Scholarship Program provides a $500 scholarship to a deserving student who is:

1. Currently enrolled or expects to be enrolled in a degree program (2 years of length or greater) by September.

2. A student must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and submit an answer to the essay question prior to the submission deadline.

3. A student must be a United States resident or a Canadian resident and must also attend a school in Canada or the US.

Essay Topic: 
Write an Essay about a situation you have been involved in or someone you know has been involved in where better safety procedures would have prevented an injury. Explain in detail what safety procedures you believe should have been in place to prevent the injury and how they would have prevented the injury.

LIFT PARTS EXPRESS SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarship Value: $500
Award Deadline: April 30, 2022

1. To be eligible for the LPE Scholarship you must be either:

A) A Current Senior in High School or

Scholarship Eligibility:

A) Anyone who is between the ages of 14-25 who will be attending school in the Fall of 2022.

GLOBAL LIFT EQUIPMENT SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarship Value: $500

A) Be currently attending or planning on attending a post-secondary institution in Canada or the US by no later than the Fall of 2022.

INFORMATION SECURITY UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarship Value: $5000
Award Deadline: March 7, 2022

Up to 20 scholarships will be awarded. Each scholarship award will be between $1,000 - $5,000

ELIGIBILITY

A) Must be pursuing, or plan to pursue, a degree with a focus on cybersecurity or information assurance.

B) You may be a senior in high school, or an undergraduate student who is currently a junior, freshman, sophomore or senior who will be pursuing an undergraduate degree in the fall. If you will have graduated with your undergraduate degree by the fall then please apply for the Graduate Scholarship if appropriate.

C) GPA must be at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or an analogous rank based on a comparable scale).

D) You may be a citizen of any country (US citizenship not required)

E) May be attending on campus or online.

F) May be attending full time or part time

G) May be attending in the US or Internationally

H) You do not currently need to be enrolled, however no awards will be disbursed until the recipient is enrolled in a college or university.

I) If awarded: the award will be sent to the school with instructions that it be applied to tuition, fees and books.

WOMEN'S CYBER SECURITY SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarship Value: $6000
Award Deadline: February 28, 2022

Up to ten scholarships will be awarded. Each scholarship award will be between $1,000 - $6,000

INNOVATION EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarship Value: $500

At LA Tutors 123, we believe that it's more than just the grades that make a great well-rounded student. Each one of you is creative in his or her own way: some of you blog; others curate documentary photography on Instagram; still others find imaginative ways to solve problems in their public and private lives. Creativity is the air each one of us breathes, but sometimes we get so concerned with grades that we forget that imagination is our natural problem solver.

One way to showcase your creativity is to innovate either by solving a problem, by designing something that helps others solve problems, or by enhancing our relationship with whatever matters to us. Innovation is what brings our technical skills and our hopes together in unique ways.

We at LA Tutors are passionate about sparking the creative genius in students and would love to commend those outstanding students who have a made a difference in the lives of others in some innovative or technological fashion. In order to achieve this, we have established a scholarship for students who meet certain criteria.

CRITERIA

STUDENT
Must currently be enrolled as a high school or college/university student.

GPA
Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 (or the equivalent).

CITIZEN
Must be a citizen of, permanent resident of, or hold a valid student visa in the United States or Canada.

INNOVATION
Must have designed an innovative project that makes a difference in the lives of others (This could be a website, series of blogs, an app, fundraising event, etc.)

ESSAY
Must submit an essay describing the goal of the particular project and provide supporting documentation. There is no minimum or maximum word/page count.

ORIGINALITY
The essay, idea, or creation must be the applicant's original work.

ARCTIC PHYSICAL THERAPY SCHOLARSHIP

MADD CANADA YOUTH BURSARY

Scholarship Value:  $8000
Award Deadline:  May 31, 2022

MADD Canada has restructured our bursary program to have more meaningful impact on students' lives. Beginning in 2016, one(1) bursary of $8,000 will be awarded to the applicant with the highest score in honour of Louise Joanne Twerdy (see further details below). Additional bursaries in the amount of $4,000 will also be available. Winning applicants may not reapply in subsequent years.

Criteria:

MADD Canada's Bursary Program is open to Canadian citizens who have themselves been severely injured or who have had a parent (or legal guardian) or sibling killed or severely injured as a result of an impaired driving crash and who are enrolled in a full-time, ministry-approved, post-secondary educational program. Injuries must be catastrophic or severe and have had a significant impact on the applicants' lives. Proof of injury and relation to impaired driving will be required.

CAJ JOURNALISM SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarship Value: $1000
Award Deadline:  April 29, 2022

As developers of PDF converter, creator and editor solutions, we know what an important role data has to play in our everyday lives and especially in the news. Now more than ever, factual data analysis is crucial to the integrity of investigative reporting, and learning to do so accurately is essential. That's why we're getting involved right where it matters most when it comes to the future of the journalism industry - the students.

This scholarship will go to one Canadian student who shows an interest and understanding of data journalism tools and techniques before they even enter the newsroom professionally. We want to get Canadian and journalism students, like you, to really think about the data you use in your stories.

To ensure this scholarship falls in line with professional and journalistic guidelines, we've partnered with the Canadian Association of Journalists (CAJ). The CAJ is a notable journalism organization that provides Canadian journalists with support, mentorship, community, and resources across the country.

Eligibility

The Investintech - CAJ Data Journalism Scholarship is open to all students with proven journalism skills and an interest in data journalism. Eligible students must meet the following requirements:

A) Must be working towards either a Bachelor's or Master's degree of any program.

B) Show evidence of their journalism skills and interest, such as having a published news story, or be working for a college publication, etc.

C) Currently accepted to or enrolled in a college or university in Canada.

D) Pursuing a course of studies leading to an undergraduate or graduate degree.

Submission and Application Details

Submitted work may be a published item, class assignment or even an item on a personal blog.

A) Work must have been produced within one calendar year of the scholarship closing date.

B) Individual work is preferred. If the submitted item is produced as part of a team of two or more, the applicant must submit their own proof of work.

C) Previous winners are not eligible to apply.

The submission must include:

A) An example of a work of journalism that shows the application of data skills (e.g. use of spreadsheets, web scraping, use of mapping tool).

B) An explanation of what you did and how you did it, including the resources you used. For submissions that were part of a group project, applicants must explain their role, the skills they used in fulfilling that role, and the specific parts of the story, or stories, that their contribution influenced.

C) An idea for a project you would like to work on, particularly if you had more data journalism skills. Include a link to a dataset that shows why the story is worth pursuing, and a link to a story you aspire to create or one that inspires you as a journalist.

D) A letter of support from an instructor or editor.

MISSION CREEK ORTHODONTICS SCHOLARSHIP

To be eligible for the MCO Scholarship a student must:

A) Be attending college or university on a full-time basis no later than December of 2022.

GLORIA BARRON PRIZE FOR YOUNG HEROES

Scholarship Value:  $10,000

ELIGIBILITY

The Barron Prize welcomes applications from public-spirited young people who are, on our April 15 deadline:

A) Between the ages of 8 and 18 (not yet age 19)
B) Permanent residents of and currently residing in the U.S.A. or Canada
C) Currently working on an inspiring service project or have done so within the past 12 months
D) Working as an individual to lead their service work. The Barron Prize does not accept applications from large groups of young people.

ODENZA MARKETING GROUP SCHOLARSHIP

To be considered eligible for the Odenza Marketing Group Fall Scholarship you must:

A) Be between the ages of 16 and 25 on March 31st, 2022.
B) Submit answers to the essay questions, which can be found on the application page, prior to the deadline.
C) Have at least one full year of post secondary studies remaining at the time of the award.
D) Have a GPA of 2.5 or greater.
E) Be a citizen of the United States or Canada

The scholarship winner will be announced roughly six weeks after the deadline and will be posted on this website immediately after. All applications must be received by 11:59 pm ET. No late applications will be reviewed.

LEONARD FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Leonard Foundation scholarships are awarded to students enrolled or enrolling in an accredited undergraduate degree program in a College or University in Canada. The institutions must be open to all without restriction except for an academic standard. Applicants must be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants.

A) Students must be enrolled in their first undergraduate program as a full-time student. A student is considered to be full-time if when enrolled for a program's full year credit. Only students pursuing a post graduate degree in Education or Divinity are eligible for continuing support.

B) All applicants will be considered, but when necessary, preference may be given to daughters or sons of ordained clergy, licensed elementary or secondary school teachers, Canadian military personnel, graduates of a Canadian Military College, members of the Engineering Institute of Canada and members of the Mining and Metallurgical Institute of Canada. Preference is also given to those who have previously received an award from The Leonard Foundation.

C) The value of the award is usually $1,000.00 for those who do not need to set up a second residence to attend university and $1,500.00 for those who do. These amounts may vary according to the final decisions of the General Committee. Approximately 140 awards are made annually.

D) Successful applicants are expected to obtain employment during free time to help defray the costs of their education. In addition, they must participate regularly in athletic, fitness or military activities. Personal qualities showing a potential for leadership are also a requirement.

E) Colonel Reuben Wells Leonard wanted this financial assistance to go to individuals who, without it, would not be able to obtain a degree. For that reason, a true financial need must be demonstrated. Those still living with their families and whose gross total annual income, including "in kind" benefits* exceeds $60,000.00 are not likely to be accepted. Those applicants who have permanently resided outside of the family home for an extended period will be required to supply detailed financial information. It is recognized that some of this information is somewhat personal; however, to fulfill the requirements of the donor, it is required. If you do not wish to divulge this information, the General Committee will not be able to make a reasoned decision.

ABBOTT PAINTERS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

2) Have achieved a GPA of 2.75 or greater during their last academic year.

KEZIAN SCIENCE SCHOLARSHIP

The Dr. Arthur A. Kezian DDS Science Scholarship will be awarding $1,200 to help deserving science students. Applicants are required to be high school seniors to graduate students in university, majoring in a science field and pursuing advanced education.

Applications will be reviewed by our scholarship committee and will be awarded based on academic merit, community service, and financial need. Please send all of the required documentation (see below) in ONE email delivered to kezian@msn.com

To be eligible for our company scholarship you must be at least 18 years of age. Note that your age is based on the date of the deadline. The deadline for the scholarship will be 11:59 pm Eastern Standard Time on March 31.

To be Eligible you:

A) Must be at least 18 years of age.
B) Must be attending a College or University in the Fall
C) Must be a resident of the United States or Canada
D) Must complete the application form, including the essay prior to the deadline

Society of Manufacturing Engineers Scholarship

The SME Education Foundation annually awards millions of dollars in scholarships to graduating high school seniors, undergraduates and graduate students pursuing two-year, four-year or advanced degrees in manufacturing or engineering.

Eligibility Requirements for SME Education Foundation scholarships:

A) Must be a graduating high school senior, current undergraduate or graduate student who will be enrolling as part-time or full-time undergraduate or graduate student, attending accredited colleges or universities in the United States or Canada for the next fall term.

B) Scholarships are only available to citizens of the U.S. and territories, citizens of Canada, students with permanent residency status in the U.S. (i.e. green card) or Canada, or applicants with a U.S. or Canadian student visa.

C) Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale or 70 on a 100 point (%) scale. Most scholarships have a minimum GPA of 3.0/80.

D) Must be pursuing a degree in a qualifying major

FUTURES FORWARD 2022-2023 TUITION WAIVER APPLICATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE

TEN participating colleges and universities in Manitoba have each established a fund to support current and former youth in care. The purpose of the fund is to provide the opportunity for current and former youth in Child and Family Services care in Manitoba to attend post-secondary education. Tuition Waiver students who are on Agreements with Young Adults (AYSs) or former youth in care may be eligible for Living Supports through Skills and Employment Partnerships to cover the costs of books and supplies and a regular bi-weekly living allowance.
