TADD LEADING CHANGE SCHOLARSHIP/BURSARY

 TADD Manitoba is please to once again be offering two, $500 Leading Change Scholarship/Bursary to deserving Manitoba high schools students. These students must have shown great interest in investing in their community, to inspire positive change.

The Scholarships
We are offering four students Leading Change Scholarship/Bursary’s worth $500.00 each (2 scholarships, 2 bursaries). The scholarship/bursary is open to all students within Manitoba. However, preference will be given to those students who are actively involved in their TADD school groups/committees.

Who can Apply?
1. Graduating Manitoba high school students currently enrolled in their final year and who will be enrolled full-time in a degree or diploma program at a recognized publicly funded Canadian university or college in the Fall 2023 academic term. Applicants for the scholarship must be Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents with a minimum 70% average in their last completed year of study.

2. Graduating Manitoba high school students actively involved in their community and inspiring change at the local level. 

Applicants for the bursary must be Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents and have engaged in actions, raised awareness for a cause directed either to their school community, their local community or their provincial community. A letter of reference from a member of the community who can attest to the leadership and advocacy that has been demonstrated by the student.

What is the Deadline? Applications will be accepted until Friday, May 26, 2023 at 3:00 p.m.

ACCESS CREDIT UNION SCHOLARSHIP

Purpose: 
The 2023 Access Credit Union "Tell us Your Story " Scholarship Program is designed to reward students who align with our values of integrity, service, innovation, and opportunity. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of applicant character and values. 

Support:
Access Credit Union will award two $5,000, two $2,500, and five $1,000 scholarships in 2023. 

Eligibility Criteria:
• Applicants must reside in Manitoba.
• Applicants must currently attend high school full-time (be it public school, private school, or home school) and be eligible to graduate in June of the current year.
• Applicants must plan to continue their education at a recognized post-secondary institution in fall of the current year.

The application process will be open from April 1st – May 1st and successful recipients will be contacted. Students may use the fillable PDF for submission and we will accept electronic signatures.

MANITOBA BEEF PRODUCERS SCHOLARSHIP

Manitoba Beef Producers is pleased to make available six $1,000 scholarships annually for MBP members or their children attending a university, college, other post-secondary institution or pursuing trades training. Preference will be given to those students pursuing a field of study related to agriculture or to those acquiring a skilled trade or pursuing a career that would be beneficial to the rural economy.

This application process is for students who will be undertaking post-secondary studies or trades training in the 2023-24 academic year. 


Eligibility: 

• Must be an active Manitoba beef producer or the child of an active Manitoba beef producer. Note: This can also include active beef producers returning to school after a period of time in the workforce. 

• Must be pursuing post-secondary studies or trades training in the 2023-24 academic year.
• Post-secondary programs or trades training must be a minimum of one academic year in duration.
 

The deadline to apply is 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2023.

CST FOUNDATION BURSARIES

The CST Foundation Bursaries are awarded to students who require financial assistance to access post-secondary education for the first time. From university degrees to apprenticeships, all Canadian post-secondary education programs are eligible for bursaries.

The funds can be used to cover the cost of tuition and related expenses such as books, supplies or living
expenses. In 2023, we will award 25 bursaries, each worth $6,000.

To be eligible you must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Be accepted to a post-secondary program at an eligible institution in Canada for Fall 2023.
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Be the first generation in their family to attend post-secondary education.

BUSINESS COUNCIL OF MANITOBA INDEGENOUS EDUCATION AWARDS

The Business Council of Manitoba is committed to helping Indigenous students attend university or community college. Annual application deadline date: March 31st.

If you are of Indigenous ancestry, you are eligible to apply for a Business Council of Manitoba Indigenous education Award provided you meet the following criteria:

  • You are a citizen of Canada and permanent resident of Manitoba.
  • You plan to attend one of the recognized post-secondary educational institutions in Manitoba in the upcoming year in any discipline.
  • You plan to maintain a full time course load.
  • You are in need of financial assistance.
  • If you are receiving funding from other sources, you may still apply for this Award.

BluEarth Renewables Scholarships

Currently offers two scholarship programs for university students: one for Indigenous students and one for community leaders. Deadline date: September 15th, 2023.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Resident of Canada
  • Pursuing full-time studies at an accredited Canadian or United States trrades or technical school, college or university
  • Indigenous Peoples Scholarship only: member of an Aboriginal community.
  • Renewable Energy Trades Scholarship only: Enrolled in a renewable enery trades program with a direct focus on wind, hydro or solar energy.

TC ENERGY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

 TC Energy is proud to help build strong communities, develop the next generation of community leaders and provide a skilled workforce for our industry. We believe that helping students succeed helps communities succeed. Our scholarship program will be awarding more than $2 million in scholarships this year across North America to help students prepare for their futures.

2023 Scholarship categories:

  • TC Energy STEM Scholarship - awarded to students annually who are studying science, engineering, technology or math academic disciplines related to the energy industry, and can demonstrate a strong commitment to their communities through volunteerism, leadership or other community involvement.
  • TC Energy Indigenous Legacy Scholarship - awarded to Indigenous students (First Nation, Métis, Inuit, Canadian Non-status, Native American)annually who are pursuing any full-time, post-secondary program at a registered education institute.
  • TC Energy Trades Scholarship - awarded to students annually who are studying trades relevant to the energy industry.
