BUSINESS COUNCIL OF MANITOBA INDIGENOUS EDUCATION AWARDS

AWARD VALUE: $3,000

CRITERIA:         

  • Students who are of Indigenous ancestry 
  • Must be a citizen of Canada and a permanent resident of Manitoba
  • Attending or plan to attend one of the recognized post-secondary educational institutions
  • Plan to maintain a full-time minimum course load of 60%

AWARD VALUE: $1,500

CRITERIA:         

  • Graduating from a Manitoba high school 
  • Planning to attend a post-secondary institution in the fall
  • An academic standing of a 70% average.
  • An active member of their High School's Rugby team
  • Committed to pursuing rugby after graduation high school

CRITERIA:         

  • Be a Manitoba resident
  • Be accepted into a full-time, accredited post-secondary degree or diploma program that is directly related to their category of application, for the upcoming academic year.

AWARD VALUE: 4 x $250

CRITERIA:         

  • Be enrolled in and successfully complete Global Issues: Citizenship and Sustainability 40S
  • Have undertaken exceptional Take Action Projects
  • Be a resident of Manitoba
  • Be graduating in June 2024

Business Council of Manitoba: Aboriginal Education Awards

DEADLINE: May 31st, 2024

AWARD VALUE: 14 x $7,000

CRITERIA:         

  • Must be a citizen of Canada and permanent resident of Manitoba, having resided in Manitoba for the last 12 months
  • Plan to attend on of the recognized post-secondary educational institutions in Manitoba in the upcoming year in any discipline (trades, business, science, general studies, etc.)
  • Plan to maintain a full time minimum 60% course load
  • In need of financial assistance
  • If you are receiving funding from other sources, you may still apply for this Award to cover additional costs.

Jack Jacobs Football Scholarship

DEADLINE: May 31st, 2024

AWARD VALUE: 2 x $2,000 CRITERIA:         

  • Must be an Indigenous heritage (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit) high school student planning on pursuing a post-secondary education, have a passion for sport and a commitment to the balance between sports and academics.

MADD Canada Bursary Fund

DEADLINE: May 31st, 2024

AWARD VALUE: Varies CRITERIA:         

  • Open to Canadian citizens who have themselves been severely injured or who have had a parent (or legal guardian) or sibling killed or severely injured as a result of an impaired driving crash.
  • Must be enrolled in a full-time, ministry -approved, post-secondary educational program.

Luke Santi Memorial Award for Student Achievement

DEADLINE: May 31, 2024

AWARD VALUE: $1,000

CRITERIA: 

  • A minimum 80% average overall is required
  • Demonstrated passion for physics outside of the normal academic environment (e.g. being a member of a local amateur astronomy club, volunteering with a physics association)
  • Demonstrated interest in a wide range of activities outside of physics (e.g. community involvement, sports, debating clubs, etc., including volunteer activities in service of others)
  • Minimum of two letters of recommendation by a teacher, principal, professor or association leader (not a relative).
